The Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra in collaboration with UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) has initiated the establishment of green club at college level. Its aim to promote environmental consciousness with particular focus on water conservation across 13 district of Maharashtra In this regards Dayanand College of Commerce Latur formed green club on 14 August 2023. Under this different activities are conducted for Water conservation, Waste management and Energy management.
Goals–The green club will be established to provide the environmental values among students. It aims to work towards an eco friendly environment in college and surroundings, by effective use of water, air and energy resources.
Objectives–- The Green club is dedicated to foster environmental problem such as Water conservation, Biodiversity conservation, Sustainable use of resources
- To aware about responsibility of Plantation, Water conservation
- To cultivate environmental consciousness and promote cleanliness among students and staffs
- To emphasize the significance of planting trees with medicinal properties and maintain college campus green by using concept of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
