Cultural Activities

We always try to conduct patriotic and cultural activities in our college. On 9th Aug. ‘Kranti Din’ is celebrated in the memory of our national heroes. On 14th August we organize ‘Ekta Mashal Rally’ in the night to give the message of Unity and Integrity on the occasion of our Independence Day. Brotherhood is always promoted by organizing the traditional festival like ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and the girls eagerly participate in the ‘Dandia Ras’ dance program on the occasion of ‘Navratri’.

In-charge of Cultural Department Shri. Satyasheel Sawant always tries to organize some innovative and patriotism oriented activities in the college. The students are prepared to maintain our culture and encourage to learn something new. Social awareness is also one of the ideas behind the organization of such cultural activities.

We have won many prizes in the Youth Festivals held at University and Inter-University level. Our student Shri Ramkrishna Bellale achieved Second Prize at National Level in Mimicry. Miss. Revati Shinde secured First prize in Lavani Nrutya. Vishal Lamture was given First prize in his Drama Performance.

Many times we have got First and Second prizes in the events like Lavani Nrutya, Aadiwasi Dance, One-Act Play, Group Song, Group Dance etc. Every year the students assuredly get selected in the University Cultural Group. We have also participated in the Drama competition organized by E-TV group at Eknath Rang Mandir, Aurangabad. We participate in the State level Cultural Competitions like Sakal Mahotsav, Aashtavinayak Mahotsav etc.

Poetry recitation, elocution Debate competition are held occasionally. Students give their performances in the Annual Gatherings of our college. Annual gathering is the most loving and enjoyable activity among the students. The Funfair activity as well as Traditional Attire Day (Sari-Dhoti Day), College Day is organized. A Feast is given to the students at the annual gatherings. The students who secured prizes in different exams, competitions, Sports activities, NSS and NCC activities are felicitated in our annual gatherings.

A tribute was offered to the brave national heroes (Vijay Salaskar, Ashok Kamte, Hemant Karkare) who sacrificed their precious life for the welfare and security of our nation.

National Service Scheme (N.S.S.)

The college has a N.S.S. Cell of 100 students. At the beginning of the academic year the students are admitted to this scheme. The volunteers undertake various social activities throughout the academic year. A seven-day special residential camp is arranged in nearby village. Normally, in the month of November/December, fifty volunteers participate in the camp. Dr. Brijmohan R. Dayma is the trained Program Officer for N.S.S. since 2006-07. He has undergone the Orientation and Refresher courses for N.S.S. One of our students Miss. Pradnya Swami was selected for Republican Day parade at Mumbai on 26th January 2008.

Organization of Blood Donation is an inevitable part of our N.S.S. camp. Medical Camp for human beings as well as pet animals is organized. Different activities are organized to promote awareness among village women. Mahila Melava, Bachat Gat Melava, Awareness regarding Blind faiths is also organized.

National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.)

The college has a N.C.C. Cell of .… students. At the beginning of the academic year the students are admitted to this scheme. Dr.Ankushkumar N. Chavan is the NCC Officer. This year Mr.Hande Manchok and Mr.Bansode Vidyasagar are selected for Army Attachment Camp. The cadets participated in 6 different camps in the year. They also participated in the important camps like ATC,TSC and RDC.

Field/Study Visits

FOFTS – Forum of Foreign Trade Students is established for the students of Foreign Trade subject. Industrial visit is the compulsory part of their curriculum. Every year the students visit different export-oriented units and multi-national companies.

Environmental Studies is a compulsory paper at final year. A compulsory visit is made to bring environmental awareness among the people as well as the students. The students of B.C.A. and B.B.A. go for the business sector visit. Our students have visited well-known companies like Shivamruit Doodh Co. Ltd., Akluj, Videocon, Auranganad, Parle Products, Solapur, Genuine Engineering, Pune, and Environment Study visit at Mabaleshwar, etc.

Yuvati Kalyan Mandal :

To express the problems and thoughts without fear, the Yuvati Kalyan Mandal is established for the females. Mrs. Anuradha Sawrikar is the Incharge of the Mandal. Girls from different classes are given the responsibilities of the mandal. Different activities like Debate competition, Greeting Card making competition, Rangoli & Mehandi competition are organized for the female students. Dandiya Ras is one of the special activities organized by the Mandal. Girls perform Dandiya dance together along with their female family members and teachers. Prizes are given for the best attire and performance.

General Knowledge Test

Every year a test based on recent developments in Commerce & Management is arranged, normally in the month of January. The motive behind the test is to promote the students to read newspapers, magazines and go through the current affairs. 109 students appeared for the test in the year 2007-08 and 238 students appeared for the test in the year 2008-09. The first three students are felicitated with valuable prizes. The get the guidance regarding different competitive exams. Dr. Brijmohan Dayma and Mrs. Sarika B. Dayma make the necessary preparation i.e. Registration, Question papers preparation and assessments for this Talent-Oriented exam.
